Adecco is currently seeking a Contract Operator to join our client’s team based in Christina Lake, AB. This temporary role requires experienced professionals who can safely operate and monitor production equipment, perform routine maintenance, and support continuous production operations while adhering to strict safety and environmental regulations.

  • Location: Christina Lake, AB

  • Shifts:  8 days on 6 days off rotation. 84hrs/week.

    • Rotating day/night shift. 6-hour days on day 1 and 8, 12-hour days day 2-7.

    • Tues-Tues

  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operation of pumps, compressors, and other production equipment, ensuring proper functioning and efficiency

  • Follow all safety protocols, conduct regular safety inspections, and participate in safety meetings

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment, report issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team

  • Record and analyze production data to optimize processes and improve efficiency

  • Ensure all operations comply with environmental regulations and participate in initiatives to reduce environmental impact

  • Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including equipment failures and environmental incidents; participate in emergency response drills

  • Collaborate effectively with field operators, engineers, and management to maintain smooth operations and provide support as needed

Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

  • Minimum Alberta 4th Class Power Engineering ticket (3rd Class preferred)

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Valid H2S Alive, First Aid, and WHMIS certifications

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, lift heavy equipment, and work rotating shifts
