Adecco is actively seeking a Community Communication Coordinator to join our client’s team located in Gold River, British Columbia. This full-time role is responsible for developing, managing, and delivering clear, consistent, and culturally respectful communications across three entities. The position plays a vital role in strengthening Indigenous community engagement by facilitating timely information sharing, supporting internal and external communication strategies, and promoting initiatives that honor community values, priorities, and identity. As the primary communications point of contact, the Coordinator helps build trust, transparency, and collaboration among leadership, staff, and community members.

- Draft, edit, and distribute announcements, newsletters, reports, and written communications.
- Manage websites and social media platforms, ensuring timely updates, accuracy, and message alignment.
- Promote community programs, events, initiatives, and cultural activities.
- Maintain culturally appropriate and inclusive communication standards.
- Serve as a liaison between department managers, community members, partners, and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate community meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and distribute follow-up communications.
- Gather feedback from community members and share insights with leadership.
- Ensure consistent branding across all platforms and communication materials.
- Draft media releases and coordinate with local and regional media when needed.
- Support reputation management and ensure all communications reflect organizational values.
- Maintain communication records, databases, and tracking systems.
- Assist the CEO and leadership team with reports, presentations, and speeches.
- Support additional organizational priorities as required.
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Bachelor’s degree (four-year post-secondary education required).
- Training or coursework in communications, public relations, or a related field is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusted relationships.
- Proficient with social media management, digital platforms, and office software.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture, governance, and community priorities considered an asset.
