Adecco is currently hiring a Certified Gas Fitter Technician (Class 2 Red Seal) for a full-time permanent opportunity within the Halifax Regional Municipality. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and servicing gas lines and appliances in both new and existing residential projects. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, safety-focused, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work while providing excellent customer service.

  • Pay Rate: Competitive compensation based on skill level, knowledge, and experience

  • Location: Halifax, NS

  • Job Type: Full-time | Permanent

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 45 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

  • Install gas lines and connect appliances in new and existing homes

  • Perform appliance installations and service work

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked installation vehicle

  • Work independently to complete projects on time and within budget

  • Provide guidance and direction to apprentices when required

  • Maintain strong, courteous customer relationships

  • Ensure a safe work environment by using provided safety equipment

  • Perform physical tasks including standing, lifting, twisting, carrying, walking, and ladder work at various heights

  • Participate in an on-call rotation for service work as required

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 2 Red Seal Gas Fitter Technician certification

  • Minimum of 2 years of field experience running gas lines and connecting appliances

  • Strong understanding of building construction techniques

  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings

  • Knowledge of first aid practices

  • Clean driver’s abstract

  • Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Must be eligible to reside and work within Canada
