A career as an Associate Director, Business Process Integrator in the New Products and Activities team at National Bank Capital Markets means being at the heart of value delivery. This role involves being close to business sectors, understanding their strategic and operational realities, and contributing to the prioritization and implementation of initiatives, while fostering evolution and transformation.

In this role, you will support various business units and partners daily to define the health of their business capabilities, identify their priorities, and define and achieve their target architectures. You will have a direct impact on achieving objectives by ensuring an end-to-end review of implementation requirements, optimal prioritization of initiatives, and the detection of improvement opportunities, thereby contributing to the continuous evolution and transformation of the organization.


Your Job

  • Support the business line in preliminary analysis to determine the size of the initiative, impacts on various business capabilities, required developments, and dependencies.
  • Lead implementation with Capital Markets’ partners by defining end-to-end operational and/or regulatory requirements, identifying risks, and strategies to mitigate them within a rigorous governance process.
  • Take part in the prioritization process, support the development of target architectures, determine and recommend deployment strategies considering benefits, risks, time to market, and priorities established by business lines.
  • Lead the review exercise of Capital Markets business capabilities, identify potential improvement, recognize synergies with other business units, and ensure resolution aligns with business vision and strategy.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members by sharing expertise and best practices, and provide support as needed to ensure timely delivery of projects, particularly during critical implementation phases


Your Team

This position reports to the Managing Director, New Products and Activities, in charge of the evolution/transformation. New Products and Activities is composed of about thirty talented and dedicated individuals. It stands out for its dynamism, agility, and knowledge of the activities of the Capital Markets’ sector and the sub-processes that support their activities.

Proximity to traders and risk management solution specialists, as well as the need to work with various highly specialized sectors of Capital Markets, allows for a comprehensive understanding of key processes and the ecosystem in which Capital Markets operate.

Our team of professionals is dedicated to delivering new products, activities, and initiatives to support Capital Markets’ business growth.

This position is based in Montreal.


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field, as well as 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Capital Markets or securities or custody.
  • Solid understanding of Capital Markets, including trading, custody, OTC and cash products, systems, processes, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with securities financing, settlements, market events, taxes, reconciliations, and payment activities is an asset
  • Strong leadership, autonomy, and sound judgment;
  • Excellent analytical, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to build relationships and constructively challenging established practices; highly effective in collaborative team environments.
  • Comfortable working in a high-pressure, ambiguous, and constantly changing environment to support a demanding professional clientele.
  • Proactive, positive attitude, motivation, and commitment.
  • Recognized competence in clear and concise communication, both orally and in writing, in French and English.
