Adecco Professional has partnered with our client in the pharmaceutical arena to assist them with a 1 year interim support for an Accountant job opening in Markham, ON. This full-time opportunity will have you working on-site 3 days/week and 2 remote working. It is best suited for someone who brings overall financial accounting experience and passion for reconciliations, analysis and administration to be an integral part of the team and who is self-motivated to make things happen efficiently and accurately.
For this Accountant job opening in Markham, ON some of the highlights of the role include, but are not limited to:
Perform various reconciliations and ensure accurate and timely completion; this is inclusive of research/investigations and gathering data
Monitoring of transactions and running comparisons and analysis of the recorded information
Verify/allocate/post accounts payables and perform accounts receivable duties; includes invoice and payment processing, coding, preparation of cheque runs, expense reports, etc.
Processing and updating of transactions from all sources
Identify errors and inconsistencies; analyzing the results and ensuring it is corrected
Creating and updating reports while keeping in accordance with standard operating procedures of the business
Send out and communicate with internal and external clients and vendors, send out statement of accounts etc as needed
Assist with other accounting related functions as required.
The selected incumbent for the Senior Accountant job opening in Markham, ON will meet the following requirements:
At least 3+ years of Accounting experience; strengths in reconciliations
Completed Bachelors in Accounting or related Business field
You bring advanced Excel skills and open to learn SAP (experience with SAP an asset)
Exceptional English communication skills, both written and spoken; this includes strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal/external partners
You are highly organized, great at managing your time and prioritizing responsibilities in a fast paced environment
Exceptional eye for details taking pride in your levels of accuracy
A problem solver with strong analytical abilities
