You will play a crucial role in supporting the development, maintenance and enhancement of Westland's in-houseproduct suite, as it concerns it's integrated state within our systems.
Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $72,000 to $85,000 with a 35-hour work week. Your rate of pay will be determined based on your individual qualifications and experience while considering internal equity.

As a Product Analyst, you will work closely with our Product Managers (Commercial & Personal Lines), as well as with other key business stakeholders from our Information Technology (IT), Business Enablement & Client Engagement, Operations, Data Analytics and Underwriting departments, to proactively apply strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with an advanced knowledge of our products and business operations, to ensure that our systems-integrated insurance products are functioning optimally, and that they are supporting and regulating business processes in the intended manner.

Why we'll love You:
- 5+ years of experience in a role(s) that has supported or led the progression of key business initiatives, with a focus on technology-based solutions. Experience within the insurance industry specifically will be an additional asset
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in business studies or other relevant area
- Advanced technical skills with common-use technology such as MS Excel, Sharepoint etc
- Able to work with limited supervision - high functioning and self-motivated. Proactive and solutions-focused
- Strong attention to detail, highly analytical mindset

Once here, you'll:
- Support Product and Operations Managers with expert knowledge and assistance in all areas concerning systems-integrated in-house product development initiatives through all major life stages: design, implementation, testing, data migration, training, deployment, stabilization, enhancement and runoff
- Collaborate with, and employ a broad variety of perspectives from across our business to ensure the support provided is comprehensive, well-balanced, appropriately informed, and meets the needs of all stakeholders (Underwriting, Operations, Data Analytics, Corp Project Teams, IT, Business Enablement & Client Engagement)
- Contribute expert knowledge and provide robust support to all major areas of the integrated product(s): rating algorithms, underwriting rules, workflows, policy documents, wordings, etc
- Diligently review project plans, enhancement requests, known issues and newly logged bugs/errors to assist in determining size/scope/impacts of matter in hand, and defining the best course for resolution/advancement (whether comprising of systems-based or workaround solutions, or both)
- Support the creation and delivery of training and communications materials necessary to support all life stages of the integrated in-house product(s)
- Assist with the analysis, development, testing, deployment, training/communication, maintenance and enhancement of any independent/offline tools which complement, assist or tie-into our core systems or business processes, as they relate to in-house insurance products. Support initiatives to integrate such tools within our core systems, when the need/time arises
- Assist with, or provide directly, updates to project team/sponsors on progress of product development, maintenance or stabilization initiatives
- Act as primary backup for Product and Operations Managers in times of absence, concerning job functions related to our integrated in-house insurance product(s)
- In collaboration with relevant business areas, and to assist with tracking KPIs and other important operational metrics, configure reports for regular use from our technology platform's reporting suite
