Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Junior Model Maker / Prototype Technician to join our client’s innovative team in Scarborough, ON. This role is responsible for creating detailed mock-ups, prototypes, and production-ready models that bring design concepts to life while supporting manufacturing efficiency and quality.

  • Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

  • Location: Scarborough, ON

  • Shift: 7:30am – 4:30pm

  • Job type: Long term contract | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Develop mock-ups, sales models, and prototypes to support the evaluation and refinement of design concepts.

  • Produce pre-production or final versions of approved engineered solutions for testing and validation.

  • Collaborate with Commercial and Production teams to align project goals and deliverables.

  • Assess feasibility, structural integrity, functionality, and manufacturability of design solutions.

  • Recommend design modifications to enhance functionality, reduce complexity, or improve manufacturability.

  • Research and implement new fabrication techniques to streamline processes and improve model assembly.

  • Ensure all deliverables meet internal standards (Array Way) for format and quality.

  • Participate in team huddles, stand-up meetings, and other project or department meetings.

  • Adhere to company quality system policies and procedures.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across projects and workflows.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and report any health and safety concerns immediately.

  • Comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and company-specific HSE policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Relevant technical diploma or equivalent experience in industrial design, model making, or fabrication.

  • Strong knowledge of prototyping techniques, materials, and fabrication tools.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and translate them into physical models.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
