Shift: Day
What you'll do :
· Promote the safety culture within BC by enforcing all safety standards, policies, and procedures.
· Monitor fleet utilization and downtime consistently in order to report on performance.
· Collaborate with local management to streamline equipment completion processes.
· Audit Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) reporting to ensure any noted deficiencies are addressed promptly.
· Work closely with regional management to ensure preventive maintenance (PM) compliance is up to date throughout the area of responsibility.
· Manage fleet-related invoice entry, review, approval processes specific to the area of responsibility.
· Conduct regular preventive maintenance on transport equipment such as trailers, reefers tractors in accordance with manufacturer guidelines or company policies.
· Maintain accurate records related to maintenance repairs, safety incidents/audits, environmental considerations for regulatory compliance purposes.
· Plan PM services according to schedule as well as conducting annual inspections on trailers, reefers, and tractors always ensuring compliance with relevant regulations or internal requirements.
· Perform analysis of maintenance data including costs incurred over time for low operating expenses management.
· Ensure timely completion of purchase orders while tracking their progress until closure.
· Communicate effectively after-hours daily calls or inquiries that may arise regarding assets' operational readiness for prompt resolution.
· Manage claims related equipment damage as applicable.
What you bring:
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and inspections
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards
• Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for cost-saving measures
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office Suite, Fleet Management software, etc.
