How You Will Contribute:
Reporting to Senior Manager, Cyber Security, as the Product Security Analyst, work closely with our product and engineering teams to ensure the security of our products from concept to post-launch. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, CISO and PLM to identify potential security gaps and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Analyze security requirements and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Coordinate internal and external penetration tests on our product portfolio.
- Review and analyze penetration test results, ensuring vulnerabilities are prioritized and remediated.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed security best practices into the product development lifecycle.
- Conduct threat modelling assessment
- Provide security training and resources to development teams.
- Automate product security assessment process.
- Coordinate with external researchers, partners, and customers on vulnerability disclosures.
- Serve as the primary security contact for all product-related security matters in India region.
- Stay abreast of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends, and provide recommendations for improving product security posture.
- Mentor and guide team members on security best practices and procedures.
- Participate in security training and awareness programs to promote a culture of security throughout the organization.

The Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in security or compliance function.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, GWAPT, or other industry-recognized credentials.
- Strong project management skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 20% of the time.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual pay range for this position is 72100 - 115,100 CAD
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
