- Pay Rate: $95,000 - $105,000 / hour
- Location: Gold River, BC
- Job type: Full-time | Permanent
- Relocation assistance is provided, if not presently a resident of Gold River, BC.
- First three months of accommodation are provided

- Lead efforts to secure funding from diverse sources including governmental agencies and private foundations by researching opportunities, writing grant proposals, and cultivating relationships.
- Develop and maintain robust reporting systems to track fund utilization, ensure compliance with donor requirements, and provide timely and accurate reports on fundraising activities and project outcomes.
- Lead and coordinate interdisciplinary teams in the planning, execution, and completion of marine research projects and conservation initiatives.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and challenges, and implement strategies to mitigate issues and achieve project milestones.
- Oversee logistical aspects of projects, including procurement of equipment, permits, and coordinating field operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and safety protocols throughout project implementation.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Evaluate project effectiveness, lessons learned, and best practices to inform future project planning and decision-making.
- MBA in project management is required.
- Minimum five years’ project management experience, preferably in marine or environmental sectors.
- PMP Designation is considered an asset.
- High level of competency in computer software including MS Office - Word and Excel
- Strong analytical and assessment skills.
- High standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment where mutual support is essential.
- Ability to deal with individuals in varying situations where complex, high pressure, difficult decisions, or emergencies may occur.
- Interact with others in a tactful, compassionate, and sensitive manner.
- Identify and respond to sensitive community, organizational issues, concerns, and needs.
- Effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to establish rapport with people of all educational and occupational backgrounds.
- A valid Driver's license/vehicle
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
