The Faculty of Dentistry, Dalhousie University, is seeking applications for a full-time, probationary tenure-track or tenure-track Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist at the rank of assistant or associate professor. Qualified candidates may also be considered for appointment as head of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Sciences.
Responsibilities will include didactic, pre-clinical and clinical teaching in all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in the Faculty’s undergraduate (Dentistry and Dental Hygiene) and postgraduate programs. Additional expectations include participation in collaborative research, continuing education, Faculty committees and administrative duties.
The successful candidate will have DDS degree, be eligible for dental licensure in Nova Scotia, and have successfully completed a CODA or CDAC- accredited, specialty program in in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. Candidates are expected to have didactic and clinical teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels particularly in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications experience and achievements. The provincial Dental Board of Nova Scotia does not offer academic licensure.

Private practice privilege is integrated with this appointment. Should this privilege not be exercised, the incumbent will be assigned academic duties. Private practice opportunity is available within the Faculty’s intra-mural practice.
