Reporting directly to the Medical and Emergency Services Manager the Emergency Services Advisor assists in planning, coordination and execution of medical and emergency response requirements on the project.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Coordinate and communicate with local and regional agencies in the area relative to emergency response resources
• Ensure and maintain a high level of readiness for all Emergency Response personnel
• Provide leadership and support to all medical and emergency support personnel
• Development, implementation, and evaluation of the site Emergency Response Plan
• Development, implementation, and evaluation of the Medical Services Plan
• Communicate site emergency procedures to site personnel
• Establish the Incident Command System process for activation in the event of an emergency
• Train senior management on their roles in Emergency Response situations
• Ensure placement and communication of emergency meeting points and Muster points is adequately implemented and maintained
• Ensures adequate communications are maintained during significant events
• Organize, facilitate, and evaluate emergency response drills as required by the HSSE Plan and WorkSafe BC
• Ensure adequate medical and emergency support for the site (day shift and night)
• Review worker Orientation at least biannually to ensure it is up to date with current plans/procedures
• Review contractor Emergency Response Plans
• Maintain personal leading indicators
