Know Your Rights: A Guide for LGBTQ2+ Employees

Every worker has the right to be free from discrimination in the workplace. This resource is a guide for 2SLGBTQIA+ workers who are seeking information about their rights in the workplace, are uncertain whether they have experienced discrimination at work, or are looking for ways to hold their employers accountable.

This guide does not cover all of the ways to advocate for yourself at work. It provides basic information regarding the process of filing a human rights complaint, which is just one avenue of recourse for being mistreated in the workplace. This guide is not legal advice, and the information in this document is a condensed and 2SLGBTQIA+ specific version of available resources from federal, provincial and territorial human rights commissions and tribunals.

This resource is designed to support screen readers.
