Adecco is currently hiring a Senior Estimator for a permanent opportunity with a leading employee-owned General Contractor recognized as one of Canada’s top construction firms. This role is ideal for an experienced estimating professional who thrives in collaborative construction environments and enjoys delivering complex ICI, residential, healthcare, and recreational projects from concept through pre-construction.
In this position, you will play a key role in collaborative project delivery, cost planning, value engineering, and strategic estimating while working alongside multidisciplinary teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients. Salary: Up to $150,000 annually

Responsibilities
Develop and execute bid strategies to support successful project pursuits
Prepare and coordinate full-cost estimates for all project phases from concept through tender
Lead estimating workshops to align project costs with overall project goals and collaborative delivery methods
Perform detailed material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor take-offs
Establish and maintain unit costs, labour rates, escalation assumptions, and contingency allowances
Solicit competitive subcontractor and supplier pricing while conducting value-engineering reviews
Provide constructability input during pre-construction and coordinate with operations teams regarding procurement, scheduling, and logistics
Track estimated versus actual project costs and support lessons learned initiatives for continuous improvement
Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and clients
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on innovative project delivery strategies
Present and defend cost recommendations and estimating strategies to project stakeholders
Support transparent and collaborative decision-making throughout the estimating process
Qualifications
Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada
Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial construction estimating
Minimum 5 years of experience estimating for a General Contractor
Strong experience across ICI, residential, recreational, healthcare, or long-term care projects
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Construction, Engineering, or a related field
CEC designation (CIQS) required; PQS designation considered an asset
Strong knowledge of cost modeling, bid strategy development, and value engineering
Advanced proficiency with Excel and cost-estimating software
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Strong understanding of market conditions, supply chains, and construction industry trends
