Adecco, in partnership with or client, is currently hiring a full-time hands‑on Senior Accountant who thrives in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment and excels at full‑cycle accounting. In this role, you’ll own day‑to‑day execution, ensure accurate reconciliations, and strengthen the company’s financial foundation.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the details, resolving discrepancies, and helping build reliable, scalable accounting processes.

  • Pay Rate: $90,000/year

  • Location: Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time  

  • Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage full‑cycle accounting and post journal entries.

  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances.

  • Lead month‑end close and prepare financial statements.

  • Correct historical inconsistencies as needed.

  • Help eliminate reconciliation backlogs (banks, cards, AR, AP, inventory).

  • Improve documentation, audit trails, and financial data integrity.

  • Assist with AP/AR processing and discrepancy resolution.

  • Support invoicing, collections, and cash flow reporting.

  • Perform inventory reconciliations and COGS analysis.

  • Investigate variances and support accurate costing across channels.

  • Assist with monthly reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Support profitability and cost‑management initiatives.

  • Recommend workflow improvements once processes stabilize.

  • Support enhancements to Dynamics 365 and Power BI.

  • Maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness.

  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and policies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • CPA or CPA candidate (final stages required)

  • 3–5 years of full‑cycle accounting experience

  • E‑commerce or retail experience (an asset)

  • Advanced Excel skills (INDEX/MATCH, VBA/Macros)

  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment

  • Power BI experience

  • Dynamics 365 Business Central experience

  • Exposure to automation/AI tools

  • Hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and unafraid to dive into transactional work.

  • Skilled at fixing, stabilizing, or rebuilding accounting processes.

  • Proactive problem‑solver who takes ownership of discrepancies.

  • Values strong financial foundations.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
