Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As the Lead, Banking Operations, you will oversee and optimize operations to support organizational strategy and deliver a strong member experience. You will drive operational efficiency, lead process improvements, provide business insights, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. This role is suited for a strategic, analytical professional with strong business analysis skills who thrives in a cross-functional environment and is passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence.
 
This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Senior Manager, Operations and Workforce Planning. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands.
 
How You'll Make an Impact:
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities to optimize operations processes, practices, and efficiencies across member-facing and back office functions
  • Providing advice and recommendations on operational needs, risks, and opportunities across the fulfillment network
  • Monitoring and executing operational programs and initiatives to ensure accurate and complete processing
  • Consulting with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives and enhance programming outcomes
  • Managing vendor relationships and monitoring industry trends to inform operational improvements
  • Performing business analysis activities including gathering, documenting, and translating business and technical requirements
  • Communicating insights, recommendations, and findings to stakeholders to support informed decision-making
  • Demonstrating people leadership skills, including coaching, supporting performance, fostering engagement, and enabling individual contributors to succeed
  • Integrating decolonization, equity, and diversity considerations into operational processes and practices
 
 
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
  • Post-secondary education in business administration, operations management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, process improvement, or business analysis roles
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing operational efficiencies and process improvements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience gathering and translating requirements
  • Experience working cross-functionally and building strong stakeholder relationships
  • Knowledge of operational risk, process optimization, and continuous improvement practices
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence decision-making
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment
 
Extra Skills That Set You Apart: 
  • Experience within financial services or credit union operations
  • Experience managing vendor or external partner relationships
  • Familiarity with embedding equity, diversity, and inclusion into operational practices

What You’ll Earn:
The salary band for this role is CG1 Level D. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
