Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced IT Support Specialist to join our client’s team in North York, ON. This role means joining a team dedicated to excellence, innovation, and a passion for cars. In this position you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of IT systems across corporate headquarters, Technical Training Centre, and the thrilling experience centre.

  • Pay Rate: $25-$27/hour (based on experience)

  • Location: North York, ON (travel is required to multiple sites in Mississauga and Pickering as well)

  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 1-year contract with possibility of extension

  • Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver first-level technical support to employees via phone, email, and in person.

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues for desktops and laptops.

  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff as needed.

  • Monitor and maintain IT systems to ensure optimal performance, including A/V support for PEC Toronto.

  • Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and software.

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in compliance with company policies.

  • Provide training and guidance on IT tools and systems to enhance user proficiency.

  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including new device setup for employees.

  • Assist in implementing AI and automation tools to optimize key business processes.

  • Document support requests, solutions, and best practices within the IT helpdesk system.

  • Ensure IT processes and requisitions adhere to internal controls and compliance standards.

  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets, ensuring proper tracking and disposal.

  • Carry out a variety of additional tasks and responsibilities as required to changing business needs while supporting seamless operations and fostering cross-functional teamwork.

This will be an onsite position supporting IT needs at their three facilities (i.e. head office, Porsche Experience Centre in Pickering, and Technical Training Centre in Mississauga).

Qualifications and Skills required:

  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 2-3 years of experience in Information Technology Helpdesk support

  • Proficiency with Apple iOS devices and Mac OS

  • Experience with Windows OS computers

  • Ability to travel within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) as needed

  • A+ Certification

  • MCSE Certification

  • Experience in Audio/Visual support for conference rooms and event spaces

  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10, Outlook, wireless technology, remote connectivity (VPN), Microsoft Office, Office 365, and disk imaging.

  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills (VBA scripting, macros, complex formulas), and familiarity with Power Automate preferred.

  • Ability to work independently with an entrepreneurial mindset, demonstrating critical thinking and ownership of projects from initiation to completion.

  • Commitment to efficiency and continuous improvement, with a willingness to challenge the status quo and implement innovative solutions.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Reliable, proactive, and motivated with a strong willingness to learn.

  • Strong ability to prioritize, structure, and manage tasks effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • German and/or French language skills are an asset but not required.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
