Adecco, in partnership with our client, a reputable organization, is currently hiring a full-time Assistant Manager, Fixed Assets & Maintenance to support daily operations in Regina, SK.

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, supervising technical teams, and ensuring the efficient management of facility assets. You will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence, supporting events and facility usage, and driving continuous improvement across maintenance programs.

  • Pay Rate: $85,000/year

  • Location: Regina, SK

  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Operations

  • Supervise, direct, and support skilled trades and maintenance staff

  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and team development

  • Foster a positive team environment and monitor employee engagement

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards

Maintenance & Facility Management

  • Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of facilities, equipment, and building systems

  • Ensure operational reliability of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and ammonia plant systems

  • Maintain and monitor asset performance and preventative maintenance programs

  • Track and manage work orders, ensuring timely completion

  • Conduct routine inspections and assess equipment condition with recommendations

Planning & Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal departments to schedule maintenance activities

  • Manage inventory of parts, tools, and equipment

  • Assist in contractor coordination and project oversight

  • Support environmental and sustainability initiatives

Financial Oversight

  • Assist in developing and managing departmental budgets (capital and operational)

  • Monitor expenditures and ensure cost controls are in place

  • Review financial reports and track performance against budget

  • Create purchase orders and approve invoices with accurate coding

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations

  • Support development and execution of workplace safety plans

  • Maintain up-to-date safety training for all team members

  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for escalation support

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Technical degree or certification (e.g., Building Systems Technician, or Journeyperson in electrical, millwright, carpentry, plumbing, or power engineering)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in:

    • Industrial maintenance, OR

    • Building operations, OR

    • Commercial construction

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience

  • Experience working in fast-paced, complex environments

  • Experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset

  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance systems, HVAC, electrical, and refrigeration systems

  • Understanding of construction laws, building codes, and industry standards

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and architectural drawings

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team development skills

  • Excellent analytical and financial management capabilities

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
