ACCES Employment is a leading non-profit organization connecting job seekers from diverse backgrounds with meaningful employment opportunities in Canada. With a focus on assisting newcomers, refugees, and other marginalized groups, ACCES Employment has served over 56,000 job seekers, with 85% of assisted clients securing employment or enrolling in educational or training programs. Our extensive network includes over 4,200 employers, providing ample opportunities for our clients.
We have served 2,435 pre-arrival immigrants, ensuring they are well-prepared to enter the Canadian workforce upon arrival. With 86% of our clientele being immigrants, ACCES Employment is committed to helping individuals and fostering an inclusive workforce, ultimately contributing to the economic and social development of the communities it serves.
Our wide range of services and programs includes:
- Employment Services: We offer personalized job search assistance, resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, and job placement support.
- Sector-Specific Programs: Training and support tailored to various industries such as healthcare, cloud computing, engineering, and finance, helping clients gain industry-specific knowledge and skills. We've helped 1,781 job seekers transfer their skills to in-demand industries in Canada. Our niche programming in emerging industries and new technologies includes our highly successful Ontario Bridge Training Program, which helps newcomers bridge gaps in their skills and knowledge, ensuring they succeed.
- Networking Opportunities: Events and workshops that connect job seekers with employers, industry professionals, and mentors.
- Language and Communication Skills Training: Programs to improve English language proficiency and workplace communication skills.
- Entrepreneurship Programs: We provide support for individuals looking to start and grow their own businesses in Canada. We have supported 1,075 entrepreneurs in business start-ups.
- Youth Employment Services: Programs specifically geared towards helping young job seekers gain work experience and start their careers.
- Post-Hire Support: Continuous support for clients even after they secure employment to ensure long-term success and career growth.
