Role Impact:

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Lead – Business Intelligence with a strong focus on Tableau development, administration, operations, and advancement. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation, enhancement, and scalability of Tableau as an enterprise analytics tool. The ideal candidate will have over a decade of experience in business intelligence and analytics, and analytics with expertise in high quality dashboard development, Tableau cloud administration, operations, performance optimization, and delivering enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions.

What you will deliver:

• Collaborate with the Business Solutions Analysts and Product Owners to fully understand solution requirements, identify risks and determine architectural patterns
• Create technical designs that appropriately address business needs. This includes, but is not limited to, designing/developing system integrations, developing/ implementing business intelligence solutions and implementing mobile applications
• Create and maintain appropriate reference documentation for development teams
• Assist development teams in developing solutions when required
• Lead and develop technical design sessions for facilitation with other members of the team and external vendors
• Ensure technical designs are aligned with technical-long term strategies and properly integrated with the organization’s business
• Ensure business solutions are developed and maintained in a manner that is conducive to information access security policies and architectural standards and guidelines
• Provides guidance to other members of the IT team during the solution development and implementation phases
• Keep current with industry best practices and recommend new patterns, frameworks and technologies when appropriate. Identify opportunities, risks and constraints to enhance the business solution.

What your strengths are:

• Excellent knowledge of architectural design patterns
• Hands-on experience building large distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with major Cloud providers’ infrastructure and services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Excellent understanding of solution development lifecycle concepts
• Good knowledge of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS concepts
• Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail

What you need to succeed:

• Post-secondary education in Information Technology or Computer Science
• Minimum 7 years of application software development
• Minimum 3 years of architecting and designing business solutions
• Experience with Agile development methodology
