TEAM COORDINATOR – RECONCILIATION & EQUITY STRATEGIES:
($45,449.88 - $51,540.17 Annually)
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Executive Director, Reconciliation and Equity Strategies, the Team Coordinator, Reconciliation and Equity Strategies, provides administrative assistance to the Executive Director and the Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (OEDIB). He/She/They perform a variety of tasks associated with project and contract administration, accounting, procurement, and budgetary functions, along with general administrative duties. The position plans and coordinates meetings, supports internal and external events, in addition to providing administrative assistance for various department initiatives.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The successful candidate will have the following:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma and completion of post-secondary courses in business or program administration
- Certification or education in Indigenous cultural safety, GBA+, and Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging or a related field
- Considerable related experience in office administration, program, and contract administration
- Sound experience supporting and/or reporting to senior management and or executives in large organizations
- A combination of lived and/or sound professional experience liaising with people from diverse backgrounds
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience acceptable to the employer
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Considerable knowledge of rules, practices and processes of program and office administration
- Sound knowledge of government and agencies involved in social support and the services they provide
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft programs and Some knowledge of database administration
- Excellent attention to detail coupled with sound analytical, mathematical, research and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills; with a solid command of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Ability to find and implement creative and practical solutions to problems
- Ability to work under the direction of several people under tight deadlines
- Ability to work and liaise effectively with people from diverse racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, marginalized, and / or Indigenous communities
- Ability to organize, and prioritize work activities, while responding to numerous diverse and shifting challenges without compromising quality
- Ability to exercise tact, diplomacy and good judgement when dealing with a broad range of housing providers, partners, and customers, including people of diverse education, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
- Ability to work unaided and as part of a team, in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment
