Job Description

What is the opportunity?

At RBC GAM, you can become an integral part of a dynamic team that coordinates production support activities for Global Asset Management's Eagle Investment Accounting System and related subsystems to ensure the integrity of data. You will work with diverse team helping GAM business users in analyzing, coordinating with multiple subject matter experts to address issues.

What will you do?

  • Ensure that up-to-date Batch Playbook is maintained and documented for each program that is part of a scheduled production run.

  • Ensuring the documentation and tracking of all production issues.

  • Monitor the library to ensure that the proper generation of data files are available for production runs and tracks resolution.

  • Support batch processing and job scheduler for GAM portfolio of applications/ processes

  • Partner with infrastructure and business teams to resolve business system issues (i.e., workflow solutions, batch cycle troubleshooting, technical interface issues, hardware issues, etc.). Execute Yearly Disaster Recovery activities.

  • Work with development teams to review requirements and implementation plans and facilitate transition to support and manage implementation to production environments.

  • Build relationships with business and infrastructure teams that will facilitate becoming an application and business workflow subject matter expert.

  • Define, schedule, and manage change/release management working with needed RBC parties and vendors.

  • Conduct meetings, give presentations, and provide consulting services to business partners on new initiatives.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

  • Experience with Eagle Investment Systems suite of products: STAR, PACE, Message Center, Reporting and Automation Center and/or other modules.

  • IT experience with demonstrated ability to read stored procedures, create and run SQL queries, troubleshoot batch cycle issues, and diagnose and resolve issues.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university. BS/BA in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Math or related technical area

  • Experience in Oracle , MS SQL or related databases

Nice-to-have

  • Exposure to ServiceNow application

  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Strong professional work ethic, attention to detail, and self-motivated

  • Excellent collaboration and work with team members and business users
