The Material Handling group of Fluor’s Mining and Metals business line is involved in all aspects of design and mechanical engineering of large scale belt conveyors, crushing & screening stations, bulk material storage & reclaim solutions, and ship & rail loading & unloading facilities for the mining industry. The successful candidate will work with the lead Material Handling engineer and lead the CAD design effort producing 2D drawings and 3D models suitable for the level of the Project phase. This position will require excellent knowledge of conveyor layout, chute design, storage bins, feeders, and bulk material reclaim & crushing facilities.
• Using 2D and 3D CAD to create belt conveyor circuits featuring feeding and receiving feed of various crushing, screening, and storage facilities
• Developing designs and issuing drawings for construction and permitting in line with industry standard drafting practices
• Assigning work and checking work done by other designers
• Reviewing supplier drawings and incorporating their equipment in drawings and 3D models
• Carrying out 3D model reviews with Project Management and clients.
