We are hiring a reliability advisor to support our Mine Services team in Fort McMurray.As the reliability advisor, you will identify opportunities to maximize asset availability, provide solutions to chronic equipment problems, and reduce costs, all while operating safely.
Minimum Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Applied Science or equivalent
Five to ten years of related industry experience with a solid understanding of mobile mining equipment design, operation, and maintenance
Fully competent in all standard techniques and procedures
Uses advanced software tools to conduct analyses and develop recommendations
Strong computer skills and an understanding of the complexity of implementing technological changes across multiple sites, including effective change management planning
Can clearly define complex multivariable problems
Strong interpersonal and communications skills to deal with management and technical staff in a positive and constructive manner
Key Accountabilities:
Provides technical advice in assigned area
Works on large projects or more complicated parts of smaller projects
Reviews and makes independent studies, analysis, interpretations and conclusions relating to assigned projects
Carries out responsible and varied assignments requiring general familiarity with a broad field of maintenance methodologies
Identifies risk and mitigating activities. Identifies barriers to implementation and plans accordingly
Applies Process Safety Standards in development of design and execution of Change Management
Develops solutions to routine but complex problems
Solves problems by using a combination of standard procedures, modification of standard procedures or method developed in previous assignments
Uses independent judgement in the selection, organization and adaptation of work methods
Sets reasonable objectives and plans to achieve in the medium term (1 year)
Location & other key details
You will work out of our Syncrude site in Fort McMurray, Alberta
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
This position is safety sensitive
If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory. Relocation support will be provided; we offer highly competitive housing assistance to eligible individuals
