This Project Materials and Services Expeditor position serves as part of an assigned Project Procurement Material Management Team, with supporting guidance from Procurement Management, including the overall expediting management from PO Award through to Final delivery of designated equipment, materials and services, fabrication and final vendor data deliverables and payment milestone deliverable requirements of the Project.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Proactively monitor supplier progress of documents, equipment, and materials.
• Arrange and chair kick-off/progress review meetings. Maintain log and follow up with outstanding actions, both with the supplier and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate shop visits (direct or 3rd Party) to verify supplier progress. Generates and/or distributes shop expediting reports.
• Work actively with document control and supplier to coordinate submission and returning of supplier drawings and documents as per the purchase order and project requirements.
• Expedite and verify production schedules and progress reports.
• Communicate equipment/material delays and schedule conflicts with the project team.
• Follow-up with the supplier to determine schedule recovery/mitigation plans, initiate corrective actions to ensure delivery performance, and/or monitor activities during product manufacturing/shipment.
• Collaborate across all disciplines including Material Management, Supplier Quality Surveillance
• (SQS)/Quality, Engineering, Project Data & Document Management (PDDM), and Construction
• Act as liaison among Fluor, Supplier, and Client, as required
• Helps coordinate technical review of paperwork with appropriate departments.
• Ensure all relevant parties are informed and included in material/documentation progress, delays and recovery plans from suppliers.
• Monitor and report supplier's performance toward completion of all deliverables in accordance
• with the Terms & Conditions and requirements of the Purchase Order.
• Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely
• manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Maintain up to date records and filing.
• Generate documents, organize and manage files, and maintain tracking data and reports
• Perform data entry proficiently in the Material Management Work Process with the approved
• Corporate Reference Tool for Material Management to facilitate project requirements
• Validate supplier invoices against payment milestones in purchase order.
• Complete expediting requirements for purchase order closeout.
• Maintain the highest ethical standards of Material Management professional responsibility.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
• Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
• Other duties as assigned.
