Adecco is actively seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to join our client’s team, to oversee a dynamic portfolio of operations across the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) sectors. Based in Toronto, Ontario, this full-time role offers a competitive salary range of $130,000–$150,000 per annum, with opportunities for growth and impact in a leadership capacity.

  • Pay Rate: $130k-$150k/year.

  • Location: Toronto, ON

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:  

  • Ensure consistent and standardized service delivery across facilities through process development and implementation.

  • Serve as a leader in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance, modelling best practices for all staff.

  • Champion the use of our client’s broader service offerings to provide value-added solutions.

  • Act as the Owner’s Representative, managing client relationships, reporting, and service delivery with integrity.

  • Lead QA oversight across the portfolio in collaboration with the QA Manager, ensuring high standards and customer satisfaction.

  • Prepare and negotiate contracts, supervise subcontractors and staff, and provide oversight on progress reporting.

  • Support audits, inspections, and ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols.

  • Lead site inspections, incident follow-ups, and ensure SMART KPI benchmarks for staff.

  • Stay on the leading edge of technology and process innovation to drive continuous improvement and performance.

Requirements:  

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

  • 3–5 years of operations or facilities management experience in the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional sectors.

  • Proven track record in leading teams and ensuring high levels of performance, safety, and quality across facilities.

  • Expertise in managing client relationships and delivering operational excellence.

  • Strong analytical and time management skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Experience with facility management software (such as JDE, DSI, CMMS) and relevant management tools.

  • Knowledge of building systems, construction standards, and quality assurance processes.

  • Comfortable traveling within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and meeting security clearance requirements (Reliability or Secret).

  • University degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field (preferred).

  • CET or trade license is an asset.

  • Equivalent experience in Facilities Management may substitute for formal education.

  • A natural leader with strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and guide teams.

  • Proactive problem-solver with a customer-centric approach to service delivery.

  • Strong focus on continuous improvement and innovation in operational processes.
