We're searching for a Materials Management Advisor to join our Syncrude Mildred Lake team. In this exciting role, you will coordinate the materials handling activities at site or shop to ensure availability of materials. - Four or more years of work experience with a preference in Oil and Gas
- Post-secondary degree in Business or SCM is preferred
- SAP S4 experience
- Demonstrates skill in a significant variety of Supply Chain competencies related to Warehouse Management, Logistics and Inventory Management
- Demonstrates understanding of processes and principles relating to Materials Management and works to improve and refine processes
- Operations of material handling equipment such as a forklift, zoom boom, loader, etc.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assists in the development of warehouse strategies and overall management of warehouse activities for a specific area
- Demonstrates a combination of professional and technical knowledge related to Supply Chain Management practices and processes; a combination of training/ preparation and practical experience. Requires communication skills and effective interaction with internal and external partners and suppliers
- Explains / demonstrates application of SCM concepts to more junior staff
- May interact with members of the Organization that are at a senior level and make recommendations for operational improvements
- Defines priorities and ensures alignment with overall objectives
- Decisions are made within established guidelines. Determines courses of action as defined within procedural guidelines and contracts
- Provides direction and skills transfer for more junior SCM staff
Location and other Key Details:
- You will work out of our Syncrude Mildred lake location in Fort McMurray, Alberta
- The shift schedule is an 6 days on/6 days off rotation, with the potential for extended work. Hours will be based on business needs. This position is overtime eligible
- Occasional travel to Suncor operating locations and third-party locations will be required for the purpose of assessing operational and organizational realities, and for Business and for Business Unit (leader and stakeholder) engagement
- This position is safety sensitive
- If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory
