The Material Handling group of Fluor’s Mining and Metals business line is involved in all aspects of design, engineering, and construction of large-scale belt conveyors, crushing and screening stations, bulk material storage and reclaim solutions, rail loading and unloading facilities. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers and designers and be responsible for creation and upkeep of various engineering documents to support our clients’ Projects. This position will require excellent knowledge of engineering basics and strong mechanical acumen in order to develop engineering plans, documents, and lists. In addition, strong skills in Spanish as well as English (especially reading and writing) will be an asset due the locations of the clients’ Project.

Responsibilities include:
• Create equipment specifications and datasheets for medium complexity equipment
• Develop and upkeep mechanical equipment list database both in English and Spanish
• Perform calculations related to stockpile and bin geometries and equipment power draws
• Review vendor equipment documents and drawings for compliance and solve problems of basic to moderate engineering complexity
• Support the lead Material Handling engineer with administration documents and interface with other discipline functions such as structural, electrical, and civil
• Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
• Plan, organize, and carry out assignments in a timely manner
