What you’ll do
The Graphic Designer role delivers impactful, innovative, creative design and print solutions that meet the needs of Canadian Tire customers and clients. The Graphic Designer is responsible of a POP design project from the start at the kick-off to the finish, passing of production files. The Graphic Designer is required to follow the processes of creating and producing all POP materials for the customer audience including logos, pennants, window banners, merchandise cards, store display and décor elements, consumer brochures, marketing and promotional/contest materials.
Work with various stakeholders to produce innovative and functional design concepts that clearly communicate Canadian Tire’s products, goals and business strategies
Support the POP Department as a member of the Design Team, with managing creative project intake, problem solving and design
Create and organize design and production art electronically with specialized computer applications
Participate in multiple projects concurrently, from concept to completion
Maintain client relationships by providing quality customer service and clear communication
Occasionally take the lead on creative project requests
Art creation, updates and maintenance of all artwork stages through to final art production files for dockets assigned.
All artwork created must be able to be reproduced (Printed) error free, without adjustments or revisions being made by CTC print vendors
Proofing art files for content accuracy and file integrity
Provide direction, CT guidelines and attend Photoshoots (when required)
What you bring
Graphic Design Degree or Diploma with 2 years relevant work experience
Previous experience with Retail, and/or Corporate brands
Excellent time management, planning & organizational skills
Proven interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skills
Proven eye for detail
Working knowledge of the MAC platform
Ability to complete and juggle time sensitive projects during peak periods
Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop CS, InDesign CS and Illustrator CS)
Experience working with Access, Excel and Power Point is a PLUS
Experience working on multiple projects concurrently
Ability to work independently
Basic working knowledge of MS Office
Good time management with the ability to multi-task
