Adecco is currently hiring a full-time highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our client’s finance team in Markham, ON. You will play a key role in managing and overseeing the company's financial processes and reporting, ensuring that financial operations run smoothly and meet both internal and regulatory requirements.

• Pay Rate: $150,000/annually

• Location: Markham, ON

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development of and support the company’s strategic plans

• Monitor the financial performance of the company

• Compile and analyze financial reporting packages to present to internal leadership and BoD

• Prepare monthly and annual operating financial statements

• Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures

• Evaluate long term financial picture, identify risks proactively by maintaining a long term view of the business

• Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions for financial health

• Performing in depth and rigorous financial analysis.

• Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.

• Working closely with senior leadership to gather and present metrics.

• Oversee AP and AR, manage banking covenants and cash flow

Qualifications:

• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline

• Accounting designation (CMA, CGA or CA), or an equivalent combination of related experience and education

• Minimum 10 years accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role

• Experience creating financial reports including P&L, Balance Sheet, budgets, and key metrics calculations including EBITDA, proforma calculations, GM, etc.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Impeccable analytical and organizational skills

• Self-motivated and self-directed

• Ability to work closely with a senior management team

• Experience working in a finance role for a PE backed company an asset
