Your Opportunity
Our Fredericton Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls (EIC) group is looking for a team-oriented and driven individual to join our team. In this position as a full-time Junior Electrical Technologist, you will be work closely with the engineering and technical design teams. Your goal is to gain technical and project experience to become an Integral member of the design team. This is a great opportunity for an energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Prepare contract drawings, specifications, schedules, details, and sketches from conceptual design through to construction.
- Produce aspects of EIC design and drawings in 2D and 3D software, such as AutoCAD.
- Successfully carry out assignments on project design teams.
- Assist with field surveys for drawing developments, site reviews and as recorded drawings.
- Effectively communicate with other team members in the department or project team.
- Familiarize and adhere to industry standards.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Diploma of Engineering Technology from an NBSCETT accredited program.
- 0-5 years’ experience in the industrial consulting industry.
- Must be self-motivated, team oriented, efficient, and a good communicator.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong collaborative skills while working with a single or multi-discipline team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow Stantec's quality control guidelines.
- Understanding the importance of complying with Stantec's Employee Health and Safety (EH&S) program, with a focus on safety in the field.
- Desire to be mentored by Senior staff and to adapt to feedback as required.
Education and Experience
Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 0-5 years of experience.
Successful candidate will primarily work in a flexible office environment. Some field work and extended travel may be required.
