Bookkeeper job opening in Barrie, ON

Adecco Professional is currently partnering with a client to hire an interim Bookkeeper to support with some year end close activities and reconciliations. Although primarily remote in nature, some in-office attendance may be required at the head office in Barrie, Ontario. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3-5 years’ experience working in a bookkeeper or corporate accountant position combined with a flexible and can-do personality. If this sounds like you, read on to learn more!

The responsibilities of the Bookkeeper job opening in Barrie, ON may include, but are not limited to:
  • Primary support with year-end activities such as:
    • Account Reconciliations
    • Bank Reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of entries
    • Account balancing and clean up (streamlining the data and reporting)
    • Analyzing transactions and ensure clarity and consistency
  • Working on various real estate business units
  • Provide documentation and assistance during internal and external audits
  • Review transactions and ensure accuracy and data integrity in the various tools
  • Various related tasks and projects as assigned; flexibility is key!

The qualifications for the Bookkeeper job opening in Barrie, ON include:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Bookkeeper or Corporate Accountant capacity required; real estate accounting experience a strong asset
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, QuickBooks Online / QBO experience an asset
  • Highly detailed and strengths with math/calculations as well as strong follow up skills
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to take initiative and problem solve as second nature
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams
  • Flexible and a strong independent and team player
