Quadrangle NL
Quadrangle NL is the only solely mandated province-wide 2SLGBTQIA+ charity of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. We offer several hybrid-style programs that reach across the province and into remote and rural regions. Community interaction is at the core of our organization as we build the province's community centre with a community care approach to the development and delivery of dedicated 2SLGBTQIA+ programs and services. Our programs are created and led by members of the community around the needs of the community.
- Hi(gh) Tea: A bi-weekly social gathering of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community of Newfoundland and Labrador over Zoom and in person on Sunday from 2 pm - 3 pm (NT)
- Visibility Resource Program: we are able to offer a wide range of FREE items to help empower the visibility of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in our province. Rather you are a proud member, supportive individual, or organization doing their part we want to help. We have stickers, pins, magnets, key chains, flags and so much more.
- Wellness Wednesday: One on one 45 min Peer to Peer support session that can be online or in-person.
- Community OUT-ings: Regular ongoing gatherings that are FREE and for ALL AGES. These events can be picnics in the park, trips to museums, walks and hikes, our chosen family dinners, and much much more.
- Quadrangle NL Community Counselling line: This counseling line is in partnership with Jacob Puddister Memorial Foundation to offer Four(4) sixty(60) min sessions each Friday to help address the ongoing gap in mental health services for 2SLGBTQIA+ people in Newfoundland and Labrador. This service is provided and created by members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ with certified counselors from The Jacob Puddister Memorial Foundation who are members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. They provide counseling from three main lenses: queer/trans theory, trauma-informed care, and person-centered counseling. This is drop-in style counseling and does not replace the need or value of working with a counselor on an ongoing basis.
