The Pathways from Child Welfare and Community Services project is a multi-year, multi-site national study examining youth transitions from child welfare and community services into stable housing, precarious living situations, or homelessness across Canada. The project employs a mixed-methods, participatory research approach, including longitudinal surveys, qualitative interviews, and youth-engaged methods, to better understand pathways and outcomes for marginalized youth. Working across six provinces, the study prioritizes equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility, and engages youth with lived experience, community organizations, and policymakers to inform practice and policy change.
Reporting to the Principal Investigator and Director, Resilience Research Centre, the YTS (Youth Transitions Study) National Project Coordinator provides leadership and coordination for a complex, multi-site research project operating across multiple provinces and partner organizations. The role is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of all operational, administrative, and research coordination activities, including stakeholder engagement, financial tracking, and knowledge mobilization. The position supports participatory and community-engaged research processes and plays a central role in maintaining alignment across project teams, timelines, and deliverables. The Project Coordinator also supports engagement with youth and individuals with lived experience, ensuring inclusive and ethical research practices.
