Adecco is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager on behalf of a well-established general contractor in Western Canada. This full-time position is based in Edmonton, AB, and offers a competitive salary of $160,000–$170,000 CAD per annum. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of large-scale commercial and institutional construction projects valued at $30M+, overseeing all phases from pre-construction through to final handover. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic and hands-on leader to join a collaborative, high-performance team that values innovation, mentorship, and long-term client partnerships.

Responsibilities:  
  • Lead project planning, coordination, and performance tracking to align with schedules, specs, and financial targets
  • Interpret project documents and technical specifications
  • Develop, adjust, and share construction schedules and milestone reports
  • Produce progress reports and schedule snapshots for clients
  • Monitor subcontractor and trade work for quality and progress
  • Create and manage project plans, adapting as work evolves
  • Select, supervise, and mentor subcontractors and junior staff
  • Prepare proposals, bids, budgets, cash flow projections, and timelines
  • Anticipate challenges, resolve issues early, and mitigate risks
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers
  • Manage contract modifications and collaborate with the Superintendent
  • Implement quality control procedures and ensure high workmanship standards
  • Analyze subcontractor quotes and issue contracts, LOIs, and POs
  • Oversee change notices and orders, updating systems accurately
  • Use scheduling and tracking tools to monitor labour, budgets, and expenses
  • Price change orders, manage RFIs, review shop drawings, and coordinate documentation
  • Review and manage field inspection reports and maintain meticulous project logs
Requirements:  
  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
  • 10–15+ years of general contracting experience on $30M+ commercial or institutional projects
  • Postsecondary training in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of managing projects end-to-end with minimal oversight
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
  • Hands-on experience with construction management contracts
  • Proficient in Vista ERP or similar platforms
