Adecco is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager for a 1- year contract with possibility of extension on our Public Sector Client in Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate must hold a valid Secret level Security. The opportunity requires on site/hybrid work for the duration of the contract.

The Senior Project Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide project management support to PMO, focusing on the optimization of cost, schedules, technical performance and standards compliance;
- Provide Project Performance services; including developing and monitoring project key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Technical Authority;
- Provide risk management services, including analysis and assessment of US Navy (USN), Contractor and PMO risks to identify concerns, trends and recommend mitigation strategies;
- Assist in the development and execution of the project implementation plan for the project by applying project management principles to these documents;
- Track and report project management issues, such as status of project elements, general issues, action items, risks, problems and their disposition, and lessons learned;
- Monitor the progress of all projects and co-ordinate the resources required to ensure the effective and timely completion of each project;
- Must possess a current Project Management Professional certificate from Project Management Institute (PMI);
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years within last eight years (8) of project management experience in the field of aerospace equipment resource
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years within the last eight (8) years of demonstrated experience as a senior military (Major or higher), civilian (EX minus two or higher) or as “senior level” project consultant working on an aircraft project in the implementation phase;
- Must possess a minimum of five (5) years combined demonstrated experience within the last ten (10) years of project management in all of the following project phases for complex aircraft projects with values greater than $100M: Definition / Planning, Execution / Implementation, Monitor and Control
- Must possess a minimum of five (5) years combined demonstrated experience with the program management and implementation of capital equipment projects within the Government of Canada (GoC) in the last ten (10) years including experience in successfully applying GoC project approval processes and procedures and documentation; including at least three of the following: Treasury Board submission(s), Business Case Analysis, Project Complexity and Risk Assessment, Integrated Risk Management, Project scheduling;
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years demonstrated experience within the past five (5) years using MS Project, or an equivalent software scheduling tool, for the creation and maintenance of project schedules, project Work Breakdown Structure, and project management reports
