What is the opportunity?

As an integral member of the Personal Banking & Commercial Banking Third Party Risk, Supplier Management Office team, you will lead our Third-Party Risk Quality Assurance & Supplier Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all Lines of Business maintain compliance with RBC's Enterprise Third Party Risk Standards through rigorous quality assurance, monitoring, escalation protocols, and stakeholder engagement. This is a high-impact role that bridges enterprise risk standards and business line execution, contributing directly to RBC's risk governance and regulatory compliance framework.

What you will do

  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Quality Assurance & Supplier Assurance specialists to ensure compliance to Enterprise policies & standards
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive QA frameworks aligned with Enterprise Third Party Risk Standards
  • Constantly looking for ways to improve how we check for quality risk assessments & compliance to the standards
  • help business areas understand third party risk requirements by creating training materials and conducting learning series.
  • Being the go-to expert when engagement owners need help
  • Collaboratively manage and monitor KRIs (Key Risk Indicators) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) across Lines of Business
  • In partnership with the Directors, Operational Risk, conduct regular third-party risk business reviews with LOB leadership to assess third party risk posture
  • Work proactively with business partners to address non-compliances, issues, and findings
  • Leverage third party monitoring tools for monitoring supplier health
  • Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for senior management

​What you need to succeed

Must have

  • 4+ years experience in third party risk management, or operational risk roles
  • Deep knowledge of third-party risk standards and best practices
  • 3+ years in a people leadership capacity and a proven track record of leading teams and driving organizational change
  • Demonstrated experience with risk assessment frameworks and methodologies
  • Experience with supplier/vendor risk assessment and due diligence processes
  • Advanced skills in data analysis, dashboarding, and reporting (Excel, Tableau, or similar tools)
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field
  • Professional oral and written communication skills, and ability to apply strategic thinking to translate risk concepts into business language
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Change management and stakeholder engagement expertise, with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership
  • Attention to detail, commitment to quality and compliance, and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Nice-to-have

  • MBA or professional risk certification (e.g., FRM, CRM, PRM)
