Your Opportunity
The Senior Manager, Accounts Payable is the enterprise leader accountable for the overall end to end operation, performance, and governance of the Corporate Accounts Payable function. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across domestic and global AP activities, including direct accountability for the Corporate AP team and functional oversight of the Pune AP team.
The successful candidate will be a strategic, technically strong finance leader who can operate at an enterprise level, lead complex global teams, and ensure best‑in‑class Accounts Payable operations. They will bring a strong control mindset, deep Oracle expertise, and the leadership capability to scale and modernize the AP function while maintaining compliance and service excellence.
This position combines deep technical accounting expertise, people leadership, and systems mastery to ensure accurate, compliant, and scalable AP, expense, and corporate card operations across the organization.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the overall running of the Corporate Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of vendor payments, employee expenses, and corporate credit card transactions.
- Provide enterprise level leadership and oversight of the Pune Accounts Payable team, ensuring alignment to corporate standards, controls, service levels, and performance expectations.
- Establish and maintain strong governance, internal controls, and audit readiness across all AP processes.
- Serve as the functional authority for Canadian indirect taxes (GST, HST, PST), including a strong understanding of tax accounting treatment and system configuration within Oracle.
- Oversee and ensure accurate VAT calculations and compliance for global offices, working closely with Tax and external advisors as required.
- Provide subject matter expertise in Oracle E Business Suite and Oracle Cloud Fusion, with a deep understanding of the Accounts Payable module, expenditure types, and end to end accounting flows.
- Lead the corporate credit card and expense management programs, ensuring policy compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Treasury, Tax, Financial Reporting, IT, and internal audit teams to resolve complex issues, support audits, and implement system or process enhancements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, automation, and service quality across AP operations.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Extensive hands on experience with Oracle EBS and Oracle Cloud Fusion, particularly the Accounts Payable and Expense modules.
- Demonstrated expertise in Canadian indirect taxes (GST, HST, PST) and global VAT concepts.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills for analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
Education and Experience
- CPA designation (required).
- Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, finance operations, or shared services environments.
- At least 10 years of people leadership experience, including managing managers and geographically dispersed teams.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
