The Burns Service, Division of Plastic Surgery in the Department of Surgery, McMaster University, invites applications for a full-time Research Scientist position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Contractually-Limited Appointment Category for a three-year period.

The ideal candidate will possess a doctoral degree in Biochemistry, Biomolecular Sciences, or Medical Sciences and will allocate approximately 60% of their time to spearheading their own research program within the Centre for Burn Research. This program will be in harmony with the educational objectives of the Division of Plastic Surgery within the Department of Surgery. Additionally, 20% of their time will be devoted to educational activities. They will also serve as a research and methodology consultant on several projects, and mentor and supervise faculty and students in educational scholarship. The remaining 20 percent of their time will be dedicated to administrative or committee responsibilities. Compensation includes excellent benefits, and remuneration will be commensurate with academic rank and position duties and responsibilities.
