Here's What You'll Need 

Essential Requirements 

• Graduate of an approved Baccalaureate Nursing Program 
• Active General Class RN License through the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Possess 1+ years of clinical nursing experience in an RN capacity
  • Candidates with less than 1 year of clinical RN experience are encouraged to apply to our New Graduate Nurse job opening (Job ID 23888).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to use your critical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork abilities
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusivity

UNIT SPECIFIC PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• Recent & related acute care nursing experience is strongly preferred
• Previous Mental Health or Psychiatry experience is preferred
• Previous work experience in paediatrics or experience working with children is strongly preferred

Employment Type

• Permanent full-time,1.0 FTE, including access to benefits, pension plan & personal days
• Shift: days/nights/weekends/holidays

Our Hiring Process

Please follow the steps outlined below when submitting your application: 
1. Visit the SickKids Careers site and apply to one unit you are most interested in working on.
2. Including a cover letter as part of your application is not mandatory but highly recommended.

3. Make sure to indicate your top 3 units of interest in your cover letter and/or in your answers to the application questionnaire to let us know of your other interested units. If you are open to any unit, please let us know. If you are open to any unit, your application could be forwarded to any unit actively hiring.
4. If you are selected, you will be contacted for a virtual interview between April 27th - May 20th. If you are not selected for this round of interviews, we encourage you to reapply in the future. 
Upon receiving a verbal offer, all successful nursing candidates will need to provide 2 supervisory references who can speak to clinical experience.
