Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Quality & Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our client’s manufacturing team in Scarborough, ON. In this role you will be responsible for driving operational excellence by leading Lean initiatives, improving processes, supporting audits, and managing quality documentation and standards. This role works cross-functionally to reduce waste, enhance efficiency, and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

  • Pay Rate: $26.50/hour

  • Location: Scarborough, ON

  • Shift: Must be available for afternoon shifts as required.

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

  • Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Lean Six Sigma projects to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis and manage CAPA to resolve product and process issues.

  • Improve manufacturing and administrative processes using Lean tools (VSM, Kaizen, 5 Whys, SMED, etc.).

  • Maintain SOPs, work instructions, and quality system documentation.

  • Oversee Quality Lab activities, including calibration and testing readiness.

  • Support and lead internal/external audits; perform product and system audits.

  • Ensure compliance with UL, CSA, FSC and other quality standards.

  • Collaborate with engineering on process changes, validation, and DFM.

  • Track and report quality and CI KPIs (scrap, rework, FPY, audit results, CAPA cycle time, savings).

  • Provide on-floor problem-solving support, including off-shift availability as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial or Manufacturing preferred).

  • 3+ years of experience in quality, operations, or CI in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

  • Experience developing processes, writing procedures, and delivering training.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems and business financial concepts.

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Yellow or Green Belt preferred).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Fluent in English

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
