A career as an Officer, Registered Plans within Trust Services at National Bank is an opportunity to support the accurate and compliant administration of registered products such as RRSPs, RRIFs, TFSAs, and pension plans. This role gives you exposure to high-impact financial operations while building foundational knowledge in the financial industry — perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, curious, and eager to learn.

Your job

  • Process financial transactions for registered and pension plans, including benefit payments and taxable distributions.
  • Manage high-risk transactions and ensure accuracy in activities with tax implications.
  • Maintain client documentation and pensioner records while ensuring strong compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with branch teams to support service delivery and address client needs.
  • Contribute to process improvements by identifying and sharing operational best practices.

Your team

You’ll be part of the Registered Plans team within Trust Services, collaborating with peers and partners across the organization to deliver administrative excellence in registered plan management. You’ll work closely with the branch network, and benefit from strong leadership, mentorship, and continuous learning opportunities that will help you grow your career in financial services.

Basic requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in financial services, banking, or administration.
  • Strong understanding of RRSP, RRIF and TFSA rules
  • Knowledge of pensions, benefit payment changes and taxable payments
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable adapting to new systems and tools.
  • A collaborative, detail-oriented approach with a passion for learning and problem-solving.
