In the Medical Lead, Oncology Pipeline, you will lead medical activities for pipeline oncology projects in Canada. You will collaborate with global, regional and local stakeholders, including clinical development, regulatory, market access, commercial, and external experts. You will translate scientific evidence into locally relevant medical strategy, drive local execution, and support clinical research that improves patient outcomes. Responsibilities
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
Develop and deliver the Canadian medical strategy for oncology pipeline assets in collaboration with global and regional teams, ensuring local relevance and strong execution in Canada.
Lead local evidence generation initiatives, including investigator-initiated studies, real-world evidence projects, and local study support, to advance Canadian priorities and inform broader strategy.
Engage respectfully and transparently with healthcare professionals, clinical investigators, patient groups and other external stakeholders to exchange scientific insights.
Translate external insights and data into actionable recommendations for clinical development, regulatory and market access plans, helping shape strategy at both local and broader levels
Provide medical review and input for scientific materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations and governance
Provide cross-functional leadership, coaching and collaboration to align medical activities with patient needs, business priorities, and shared objectives.
Why You?
Basic Qualifications
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:
MD, PharmD, PhD, or other advanced degree in a scientific/clinical discipline; relevant medical affairs experience may be considered in lieu of specific degree requirements.
3-5 years of experience in medical affairs and/or clinical development within pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
Demonstrated strong disease-area expertise in oncology with a focus on solid tumors and experience supporting pipeline assets across early and late development.
Proven ability to lead medical strategy and translate scientific/clinical evidence into actionable plans and insights.
Oncology asset launch experience.
Experience partnering cross-functionally (e.g., Clinical, Commercial, Market Access/HEOR, Regulatory) while maintaining strong compliance and scientific integrity.
Strong external engagement capabilities, including scientific exchange with HCPs and key opinion leaders.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
Ability to travel within Canada as required.
Preferred Qualifications
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Experience focused on oncology therapeutic areas.
Prior experience developing and executing medical strategy for pipeline assets.
Experience with health economics and outcomes research collaborations.
Experience working in cross-functional, matrix environments and collaborating with global stakeholders to support local execution.
Proven record of scientific publications, presentations, or advisory leadership.
Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, or project management experience, including the ability to influence across matrix teams.
