Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As the Manager, HR Supplier Risk Management and member of the Supplier Risk Management Office (HR-SRMO) you will be required to enable and support compliance with supplier risk management standards in keeping with RBCs Third Party Risk (TPR) requirements. You will work in close collaboration with HR and enterprise partners to ensure a resilient risk management practice is applied to HR’s supplier portfolio.  

What will you do?  

  • Support HR’s supplier owners with required due diligence in the execution of end to end Third Party Risk management activities by providing advice, coaching and representation with key partners.

  • Monitor supplier engagements to prevent or mitigate non-compliance by actively addressing resolution with key partners in accordance with TPR policies.

  • Ensure continuous risk rigor based on control standards including enterprise monitoring and review activities. Includes representation with key partners (e.g., TPR, IT-Risk, Compliance, Procurement).

  • Contribute directly to the overall HR Supplier Risk Management practice by enhancing the knowledge levels of supplier managers on- policies, processes, utilization of tools.

  • Contribute to risk analysis and reporting ensuring relevant data utilization to bring transparency to the portfolio health working closely with the SRMO’s data and reporting lead. 

    • Support data driven analysis to provide meaningful insights with recommendations to impact Key Risk Ratings (KRIs), Risks and Issues.

    • Support the optimization of tools, information and other resources to enable relevant decisions and actionable outcomes. 

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • A basic knowledge of Third-Party Risk Management practices. Experience will be an advantage.

  • Supplier management or procurement experience with a basic knowledge of risk management tools. Experience with SRMA will be an advantage.

  • A risk-based mindset to engage varied stakeholders and confidently advise and/or constructively challenge.

  • Self-organized with track record of efficiency, proactive solutioning and fast-paced delivery. 

  • Analytical expertise with a solutioning mindset for quantitative and qualitative research.   

  • Proven ability to develop reporting and data analysis skills using available tools as required (e.g. MS Office, Pivot Tables, Power Query, Dashboards).

Nice to Have:

  • Working knowledge of industry Governance, Risk and Compliance solutions (e.g., Archer, iValua).

  • A good understanding of the regulatory environment and impact on Third-Party risks.

  • A good understanding of sourcing practices.

  • Risk management experience, delivering risk-management specific programs.
