Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Financial Controller to join our client’s leadership team. This pivotal role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely consolidated financial statements, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.

You’ll play a key part in driving financial integrity, supporting business growth, and ensuring compliance with all accounting standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Pay Rate: Starting at $95,000.00/annually (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and management reports, including budget vs. actual analysis, P&L reporting, and balance sheet reviews.

  • Collaborate with external tax accountants to ensure accurate annual tax filings and compliance with all regulations.

  • Oversee inventory and asset management, including coordination of physical inventory counts.

  • Review and analyze budget accuracy and variances, identifying trends and root causes.

  • Conduct quarterly forecast reviews and recommend effective corrective actions.

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including performance management, training, and career development.

  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture within the finance team.

  • Develop and implement detailed financial models and strategic plans aligned with company objectives.

  • Assess and improve accounting systems, controls, and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.

  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, monitor aging reports, and ensure proper allocation of funds.

  • Partner with senior management to contribute to strategic business planning and decision-making.

  • Oversee financial operations within Navision (ERP), ensuring accurate data management and reporting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.

  • CPA designation required.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial management or controller role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations relevant to the industry.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Navision), Microsoft Excel, and financial modeling.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, with a focus on engagement and development.

  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
