Financial Analyst job opening in Markham, ON

Adecco Professional is currently hiring for a Financial Analyst job opening in Markham, ON in a full-time, temporary 12-month capacity. We are looking for an experienced, hardworking and driven Financial Analyst with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, and someone looking to make a positive impact in the organization.  Please note this role is a hybrid work set up with required 3 days/week in office, 2 remote; free parking.

Some of the responsibilities for the Financial Analyst job opening in Markham, ON, include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze Financial Data: Perform detailed analysis of sales, expenses, and other financial metrics to uncover trends and insights that drive business decisions.

  • Support Financial Planning: Create and maintain financial models, reports, and tools to support forecasting and strategic planning efforts.

  • Track Performance: Compare actual financial results against budgets and forecasts, investigate variances, and identify root causes to recommend corrective actions.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes by analyzing historical data, identifying trends, and modeling various scenarios.

  • Reporting & Dashboards: Assist in the development of dashboards and reports to support cross-functional teams with timely and actionable financial insights.

  • Prepare Financial Reports: Compile accurate and comprehensive financial reports for internal stakeholders, leadership, and external parties, ensuring clarity and compliance with relevant standards.

  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct special financial analysis and projects as requested by senior management, delivering insights and recommendations to address specific business needs.


The qualifications for the Financial Analyst job opening in Markham, ON includes:

  • At least 1 year experience as a Financial Analyst or similar accounting related role

  • Bachelor’s degree in an accounting/finance/financial analyst or equivalent

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements

  • Advanced skills in MS Excel; SAP experience a strong asset

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving-skills; ability to delve in and understand the problem and come up with solutions at the ready

  • Takes pride in quality work, detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; adaptable, ability to prioritize

  • Strengths in working independently and also as a team member
