Adecco is currently seeking a Finance Clerk for a full-time position in Gold River, B.C. This opportunity is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with experience in accounts payable, banking, cash handling, and clerical support, who are comfortable providing responsive service to staff, vendors, and programme managers.

As a Finance Clerk, you will provide accurate and timely clerical and administrative support to the Finance Department, ensuring smooth operations and organized financial records while assisting with payroll, banking, and month-end processes.

  • Salary: $22.57 - $24.87/hour, based on experience

  • Location: Gold River, B.C. – Onsite (vehicle required)

  • Schedule: Monday to Thursday, every other Friday off; occasional overtime

  • Contract: Full-time | Permanent

  • Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy

Responsibilities:

  • Process and code vendor invoices; prepare cheque/EFT payments; maintain vendor records

  • Reconcile vendor statements and respond to inquiries

  • Process credit card transactions and staff expense claims

  • Assist with payroll by collecting/validating timesheets and maintaining records

  • Prepare deposits, deliver to the bank, manage petty cash, and post transactions

  • Assist with bank reconciliations and basic accounts receivable tasks

  • Support month-end close through data entry, reconciliations, and schedule preparation

  • Maintain organised financial records (electronic and paper)

  • Support membership database and routine member correspondence (as assigned)

  • Provide general administrative support to the Finance team

Requirements:

  • Certificate/diploma in accounting, bookkeeping, business administration, or equivalent experience

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in accounts payable or finance administration

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel) and ability to learn accounting/payroll software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Payworks)

  • Excellent accuracy, organization, and time management

  • Professional discretion with confidential information; strong customer service mindset

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence (for banking runs)

  • Experience in Indigenous or public sector environments is an asset

  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada
