Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Filler Operator to join our clients manufacturing team in Belleville, ON. In this role you will be responsible for assembling, operating, and monitoring filling equipment across multiple production lines to ensure efficient and accurate packaging of products. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

  • Pay Rate: $24.00/hour

  • Location: Belleville, ON

  • Shift: Continental shift rotation

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, operate, and monitor filling equipment across multiple production lines to prepare for production.

  • Monitor gauges on the fillers to ensure critical control parameters and package weights are within specifications.

  • Respond promptly to machine alarms and access the appropriate resources/technicians.

  • Test package integrity and perform seal evaluation randomly or at prescribed intervals.

  • Ensure all necessary supplies are in reserve for continuous operations.

  • Monitor overall quality of the product and packaging materials.

  • Maintain all equipment and work area in a clean and sanitary condition by following proper cleaning procedures for all equipment including scheduled CIP.

  • Alert and collaborate with mechanics if equipment malfunctions to resolve problem.

  • Ensure all paperwork is filled out accurately, start-up and cleaning checklist, downtime sheets and quality check sheets.

  • Evaluate production date (i.e., variances, efficiencies).

  • Communicate production issues with the supervisor.

  • Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent experience is required

  • 1-3 years of experience in a related industry

  • Previous related machine operator experience is an asset

  • Good verbal and written communication skills (ability to read, write and speak clearly in English)

  • Ability to do physically demanding work – lift up to 30 pounds and climbing stairs

  • Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated problem solving skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Able to prioritize assigned duties and challenging situations properly

  • Mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills

  • Familiar with and strict adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP and Food Safety programs.

  • Initially the work will be a day shift position, with expectation to work extended hours or weekend overtime as required.  Position will become a rotating shift position as demand for our product grows.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
