Adecco is actively seeking a Field Service Technician for our client based in Georgetown, ON. The ideal candidate will have proven field service experience and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. This is a dynamic role that involves hands-on work with security detection equipment, such as baggage X-rays, body scanners, and metal detectors. You will perform equipment inspections, modifications, installations, maintenance, and repairs, as well as offer customer support.

  • Pay Rate: $55k-$65k/year.

  • Location: Georgetown, ON

  • Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:  

  • Preparing equipment and conducting quality control inspections on baggage X-rays, body scanners, metal detectors, and other security detection equipment (including configuration and tracking).

  • Performing modifications and customizations of equipment as specified and required by clients.

  • Providing service and customer support through phone support or during service calls.

  • Carrying out site installations, repairs, maintenance, and testing tasks.

  • Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions, both in the warehouse and in the field.

  • Documenting all processes and completing service repair reports.

  • Ensuring the proper and safe use, maintenance, and reporting of all company property, including service vans, trailers, tools, and test equipment.

  • Representing our client with professionalism, including maintaining a polished appearance and keeping company equipment in good condition.

  • Effectively communicating in both English and French to ensure client satisfaction.

Requirements:  

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

  • Technical degree or certification (relevant field).

  • 3+ years of proven field service experience.

  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English

  • French language is an asset

  • Strong analytical, planning, organizational, and execution skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with a positive attitude.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office.

  • Willingness to travel extensively within Canada.

  • Valid G driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.

  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
