Adecco is currently hiring a Body Shop Estimator for a permanent opportunity in Ottawa, ON. This role is ideal for an experienced estimator with a strong understanding of collision repair processes, insurance procedures, and customer service excellence. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing accurate repair estimates, coordinating parts orders, maintaining communication with customers and insurance providers, and ensuring a seamless repair experience from initial appraisal through vehicle delivery.

  • Salary: $28.40/hour + Monthly Bonus + Signing Bonus

  • Location: Ottawa, ON

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Employment Type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in a professional, positive, and welcoming manner

  • Conduct vehicle appraisals and prepare accurate repair estimates

  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the repair process

  • Explain repair options and processes to customers

  • Prepare estimates for customers, insurance companies, and internal departments

  • Ensure all required repair tasks, touch-ups, polishing, and customer requests are included in estimates

  • Document conversations, special instructions, and repair details within estimating systems

  • Order required parts and maintain accurate documentation of ordering details

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure repair workflows progress efficiently

  • Follow up with customers to schedule repairs once all required parts have arrived

  • Monitor repair schedules and proactively communicate delays to customers and insurance companies

  • Work closely with the Control Tower team to coordinate vehicle pickup timelines

  • Follow up on unsold estimates to maximize conversion opportunities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance partners

  • Process supplemental estimates ("additionals") promptly to avoid repair delays

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable legislation

Qualifications

  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada

  • Previous Body Shop Estimator experience required

  • Strong knowledge of Mitchell and Audatex estimating systems

  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with estimating software

  • Strong customer service and sales-oriented mindset

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities for estimate preparation and costing

  • Ability to accurately assess vehicle damage and repair requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
